The Melody of the Mountains
**The Melody of the Mountains**
In a small village in the Andes, there lived a young boy named Mateo. He loved the mountains and the sound of music. One day, he visited his grandfather. “Grandpa, can you teach me to play music?” Mateo asked eagerly.
His grandfather smiled. “Yes, Mateo! I will teach you traditional Andean music. It is very special.” They sat together under a big tree. Grandpa played the charango, a small guitar. The sound was beautiful.
Mateo listened carefully. He practiced every day. Soon, he could play many songs. “You are a good student!” said his grandfather. Mateo felt proud.
One day, Mateo played for the village. People danced and sang. Mateo smiled. “This music is our culture. We must share it!” He understood the importance of his heritage.
From that day on, Mateo played music with joy. He knew he was keeping the melody of the mountains alive.
